I'll tell it in a song

in the woods behind my home

I kept it in a coffee can
underneath my bed
I walked my baby daily
on a leash made out of thread

For seven months I kept this up
dreaming of the day

with a 10 (5)________ python snake

But I made a big mistake

My baby (6)__________ is just a worm
The vet just checked
It is confirmed

By now he (7)____________ be slinking
But all he (8)________ is squirm

My friend and I made a (11)__________ cage
From chicken (12)________ and sticks
We worked all weekend on it

Never could, never will
A worm'll squirm (18)__________ through it
And disappear into the silt

My friend, he's got a fishin' pole
and a look I've never seen

By now he should be slitherin' around
But all he does is squirm
